FS#3 phoned home!

After being lost for exactly 1 month, our brave Flying Squirrel #3 has “phoned home”.  Flying Squirrels all have a label on the outside and on the inside with an email address to use to report its location when found.

Yesterday, I received an email informing me that a gentleman found Flying Squirrel #3 in a field near Yucaipa, CA. The indication in this short message was that the antenna was still attached but no remains of the balloon were found. Otherwise the payload seems intact.

I am working out the details of retrieving FS#3 which may take a few days.

I will post updates as soon and I have more info.
